[While Estelle had gone to bed normally the night before, those in the apartment might notice that she doesn't rise in the morning as she usually does. In fact, she keeps sleeping for the entire day, practically dead to the world. She doesn't shift or make noise even once during it, just breathing quietly all the while, and any attempts to wake her up would have only been met with her continuing to slumber.
TL;DR HOLY SHIT IS SHE DEAD OR WHAT
THANKFULLY the answer is no as later that night (precisely twenty-four hours after she went to bed, in fact) Estelle finally opens her eyes. She's bleary and confused, but hey at least they're open.]
[Kainé didn't like this whole roommate situation. She's been alone most her life, ostracized and viewed with disgust and fear. Even if she was welcomed into a place with open arms, she would stubbornly hang around outside, as far away as she possibly could. She knew her place; at least, she thought she did. And she was fine with solitude. She thought so until she met her companions.
But these people didn't know that. She didn't want them to get tangled up in her mess of a life. There were no Shades here, but she still had a very dangerous one residing in her heart. And needless to say, she didn't really want to be cooped up in a place with so many people to begin with. So she regularly departed the apartment on a daily basis, only coming back to sleep in her bed. And then she'd be off again. With such early hours, it was easy to notice that something had gone wrong.
That is to say, the kind girl she first talked to here hadn't woken up at all. It wasn't like her to sleep in so much; even Kainé knew that, just from seeing her around town (and not saying hi like a loser). And though she would never say so in the foreseeable future, she did sneak into the room when she was sure her other roommates weren't around to check in on the pink-haired girl. She was alive, but in a deep sleep. The fact that she still breathed was good, but she had no idea what could've induced such slumber.
Finally though, Estelle was waking up. And Kainé was leaning against the window, like she hadn't been checking in on Estelle's condition just moments before. Nope.]
[It takes her a second to register who she's talking to, where she even is. After all, it feels like she just spent weeks in her world, and it's not like sleeping for an entire day is good for you either. When things finally start to click together, she sluggishly tries to sit up, looking around the room in confusion before back to Kainé.]
What happened? [a beat] How long have I been asleep for?
Just one day? [NOW SHE'S REALLY LOST... It sure hasn't felt like it's only been one day, but as far as her time in Haven goes, she does clearly remember the last time she went to bed i.e. yesterday.] It feels like it's been months... Although I don't think I was that tired when I went to bed then. Last night, I mean.
Yeah, it's been only a day. [For it to feel like months though... some kind of crazy dream?] You slept like a log the whole time. You eat something bad?
I don't think so. It didn't taste all the strange when I ate it, but... I had the strangest dream. It felt like so much time had passed. I've read before of how eating something strange before sleeping can cause odd dreams, so maybe that really was it...
[She doubts it though, and it's evident in her voice. It felt less like a dream and more just like... memories. Like it was completely real. If she'd only been sleeping in Haven the whole time though, it must've been a dream, right?]
I remember... everything. Everything that happened in my dream, I mean. There was so much that happened, I hardly know where to begin. [Or how much she even feels comfortable sharing. It's been "a while" since the incident with Alexei, but even back home with her friends she never wanted to talk about it much.] I dreamed that I was back home, and it was like... Like things picked up exactly where they left off from when I first arrived in Haven. I was in Myorzo again, just like before, not knowing how to take what the Elder told me... [a small sigh] I'm sorry, this must not make much sense to you.
You're right... But if it wasn't a dream, what could it possibly have been? [She was asleep... if not in a complete coma, and she saw things during her sleep. You'd call that a dream, right?]
No idea. You were here the whole time, so it's not like you poofed into thin air. [Ah though she sort of indirectly just admitted to watching over her...] It only makes sense if it was a dream, but... hearing you talk about it, I dunno. Makes it seem like it really happened.
I wonder if it really did then... [It just felt so real after all, not to mention that she could still feel the spirits with her. If that was the case though, how could something like that happen? Although she does pick up on what Kainé said seems to imply.]
Oh, I see... [She probably should've expected as much from Kainé. Actually checking in on her didn't seem like something she'd do.] I've been told that I'm a bit of a heavy sleeper at times, but certainly never that deeply. I'm glad you noticed.
[It would've been a little scary to wake up from such a deep sleep completely alone, after all.]

... Did you watch over me while I was sleeping?

I only noticed you were still out like a light when I came back for my stuff. [Lying through your teeth is bad.] I didn't take you for a deep sleeper.
